SEND2SPACE is excited to announce that its first annual STEM Night Fundraiser is on February 1st at Union High School, Camas, Washington!
Send2Space is a 501(c)(3) non-profit working to advance children’s rights by giving young people the opportunities to succeed through equal education and opportunity. In the United States, Send2Space is working to stop one of our most critical problems – the inequality in STEM education across socioeconomic backgrounds.
STEM Night is a fundraiser for The Atmosphere Project, our flagship program of the Southwest Washington Region. The Atmosphere Project is a team of high school volunteers traveling to elementary schools underrepresented in STEM and teaching a hands-on curriculum that meets NGSS(Next Generation Science Standards), particularly in Earth Sciences. During the sessions, the children develop a bond with their high school partner, do hands-on experiments, and even help design and construct a high altitude weather balloon that will reach low-orbit space!
STEM Night will be a 2 hour fundraising camp at Union High School ( 6201 NW Friberg-Strunk St, Camas, WA 98607) on February 1st from 6-8pm that will teach STEM principles through 22+ hands-on projects and experiments. Since Send2Space is a federally filed nonprofit, all donations are tax-deductible and we highly encourage supporting our mission and donating to help us support and promote STEM education!
